The Estate Planning AI Face-Off Part 3: The Team-Up

|

See how AI tools and Luminary’s structured estate data work together in Part 3 of the Estate Planning AI Face-Off, featuring our MCP and more.

The face-off set the stage. Now comes the team-up.

In Part 1, we put general-purpose AI and Luminary head-to-head on the same estate documents. In Part 2, we explored what more powerful models and AI agents could mean for advisors. Now, we’re bringing the two together.

Patrick Gordon, Head of Enterprise Sales, and Ian Lyons, Head of Engineering, return to show how connecting AI tools to Luminary’s structured estate data enhances advisor capabilities. We’ll unpack Model Context Protocol (MCP)—what it connects, why it matters, and what it could change about your everyday work—then revisit a scenario from the original face-off to show the difference that connected data makes in practice.

You’ll also see Luminary’s latest AI enhancements, including the AI Assistant’s agentic tasks and smart onboarding, and explore how connected workflows can help firms create client-ready plans faster and easier than ever before.

It’s the next chapter in a conversation about integrating AI into your existing workflows to get clear, reliable outputs every time.

What you’ll learn:

  • How general-purpose AI and purpose-built estate planning software work together—and what each contributes
  • What MCP means in practice and how it changes the way you work
  • What changes when an AI tool works with structured estate data instead of interpreting documents on its own
  • How the AI Assistant and SmartReview fit into Luminary’s broader AI workflow
  • How connected data and reusable instructions can support deliverables tailored to your firm
